This summer, Hotel du Vin extended a warm ‘bienvenue’ to Tom Gallimore who has taken over the reins of one of Birmingham’s most popular hotels.
Tom, joins the boutique hotel from Malmaison Birmingham where he was Hotel Manager and Deputy General Manager for the past 2 years. Prior to joining the group, he worked at Penta Hotel Derby and Village Hotels.
He follows Barry Sherwin, who was interim General Manager of the property after the departure of Tony Elvin to Touchwood Shopping Centre earlier this year.
Tom, started off his hotel career at the age of 16 with Millennium Hotels, and went on to work at Q Hotels and Village Hotels.
Tom said, “I am really excited to be leading the Hotel du Vin team, it’s an iconic hotel which I have admired from afar. We have a loyal customer base and I am keen to keep growing this, as we’re well known for being a premium hotel with a premium food and drink offering to match.
“The challenge will be to maintain the high standards in this ever developing city. We have so many great new places in the Colmore BID area that’s attracting more and more customers and people are spoilt for choice. But I am glad to be at the helm of a much loved hotel.”
