Pushkar Dining and Cocktail Bar
The brief was to make Birmingham’s newest fine dining Indian restaurant the most talked about place in town. No easy feat considering Birmingham’s rapidly escalating culinary status. Our campaign was not only to put Pushkar firmly on the map, but to place it amongst the top league of Indian restaurants.
The plush golden encrusted invites were especially created in India and they were certainly the most talked about invite ever. The eagerly awaited launch was the hottest ticket in town.
After the blanket coverage of the party, the real work came in securing the best reviews. Paul Fulford gave Pushkar a five star review in the Birmingham Mail and this was followed by outstanding reviews in The Birmingham Post, Sunday Mercury, Express and Star, What’s On Live, Style Birmingham, Live 24 Seven and Touchbase magazine.
The third part of the press campaign was to strengthen Pushkar’s identity as glamourous and sophisticated brand and to raise the profile of proprietor Rai Singh and chef Bishal Rasaily. Double page features of Rai and his venture were in the Birmingham Mail and Post, with radio interviews on Radio XL and Radio WM. There was also national coverage in The Stylist.
2010 got off to a great start with The Best of Broad Street Awards (BOBS) 2010. Pushkar was the big winner of the night winning Best Newcomer, Best Chef for Bishal Rasaily and Ariane Howa was highly commended in the Best Waitress category.
